HOW IT WORKS
Where the price comes from
Each Robinhood Stock Token has its own Chainlink price feed, published on Robinhood Chain via the standard AggregatorV3Interface. The feed reports a “Total Return Value”: the underlying equity’s market price, multiplied by a factor the token contract itself publishes to account for dividends and stock splits.
We read it directly, with no delay or estimation. If the feed hasn’t updated in a while (markets close on weekends and holidays, and these feeds don’t heartbeat off-hours), we show the last update time rather than pretending it’s live. If a token has no Chainlink feed at all, we say so instead of guessing a price.
Where holder and activity data comes from
Holder counts, transfer activity, and contract verification status come from the Blockscout Pro API, indexing Robinhood Chain directly. Some fields — like a USD market cap — are often empty for these tokens because they aren’t listed on services like CoinGecko. When that’s the case, we show N/A. We never substitute a zero or an estimate for a value that simply isn’t available.
Why there's no price history chart
There’s no reliable, free source of historical price or trading volume for these tokens yet. Rather than fake a chart from thin data, we leave it out entirely for now.
What the Activity Score means
The score blends holder count and 7-day transfer activity on a log scale — it’s a rough signal of on-chain interest, not a prediction or a recommendation. A price trend component is intentionally omitted: without a reliable way to read historical rounds, including one would mean guessing.
The “WINNER” badge on the comparison screen always means higher on-chain activity score — nothing more.
Verifying the custom-contract option
When you paste your own contract address, we check it against a snapshot of Robinhood’s official on-chain asset registry to confirm it’s the canonical Stock Token for its symbol. If it doesn’t match, we still show its data — it may be a perfectly real ERC-20 token — but we label it clearly as unverified rather than implying an official check that didn’t happen.
